Introduction of the Platform
|
The “Digital Pathology System (DPS) and Digital Telepathology Consultation (DTC)” platform” was innovatively invented and developed by Motic, Inc., the leader of digital pathology technology in China. The Motic’s DPS is advantageous with its clear digital images, fast browsing speed, easy operational control and the smart interface for digital telepathology diagnosis. It provides an efficient and powerful tool in facilitating telepathology consultations, for assuring quality control in pathologic diagnosis, and for digitally archiving pathology database for training and teaching purpose in pathology education. Given the great variation of level of pathologic diagnosis in different areas in China, it is particularly powerful and convenient in providing high quality diagnosis for those low resource areas where pathology infrastructure is under-developed. The Motic’s DPS and DTC system will provide technical advantage to the ongoing nationwide standardization for cancer diagnosis and treatment organized by the Ministry of Health in China. The scientists and technologists in Motic will continuously work hard on improving and perfecting this system with their skills and experience and also feedbacks from pathologists using our DPS nationwide. Our DPS and DTC system will no doubt contribute enormously in promoting pathology education and in advancing the pathologic diagnostic level in China.
The Motic has been dedicating its efforts in promoting pathologic diagnosis with advanced technology in China for a decade. Starting with the traditional microscopic technology, Motic has innovatively invented and developed numerous technology platforms and breakthroughs in digital micro-imaging, real-time automatic microscope remote controlling, digital slide scanning and web-based telepathology diagnostic platforms. Recently Motic has established the “Motic Telepathology Consultation Center”, which is the first module in China in combining manufacturer’s advanced technology with pathologists’ expertise in providing direct services to patients and patient care in hospital.
The Motic has invited and organized a large group of nationally and internationally renown pathologists and has established a telepathology network nationwide with more than a dozen of “Motic Telepathology Diagnostic Satellite Center” in China. We have received many positive feedbacks both from patients, pathologists and clinicians in recognizing our technology and our endeavor in providing the best pathologic diagnosis. It is very convincing from these feedbacks that digital pathology is an excellent diagnostic tool and has great advantage to traditional microscopic pathology by its convenience with no limitation of time, space and quality; by its freedom in selection of near 100 expert pathologists online; and most importantly by providing accurate diagnoses for patient care. We will continuously strive hard and improve our system in linking best diagnostic resources directly to patients, general pathologists and clinicians.
